This disease can sometimes be confused with seborrhea dermatitis and acne vulgarism.
Treatment of rosacea differs from person to person depending on the types and severity. Dermatologists normally use the type-directed approach for diagnosis. Mild cases are often covered up with normal cosmetics. While medications have a temporary effect, which lasts for only a few weeks, a long-term treatment may permanently control the disease for some patients.
Ways to prevent Rosacea
- Avoiding spicy food alcoholic drinks and smoking helps to minimize the enlargement of blood vessel.
- Limited exposure to sunlight or applying a sunscreen also helps relieve rosacea.
